One Loop, Two Borders, Zero Line Stops
An equipment manufacturer in Ohio sourced castings from Monterrey while shipping finished machines to dealers across the Midwest. Two separate carriers meant inbound delays hid until the line stopped — and empty trailers deadheaded home both ways.
We merged both flows into a weekly synchronized loop: the same trailers haul finished machines northbound on Monday and return with castings southbound on Thursday. A shared control tower watches both directions against the plant's production takt.
The Challenge
Manufacturing freight punishes inconsistency: overweight castings, export-crated machines, cross-border paperwork and dealers who charge for missed delivery windows. Separate inbound and outbound carriers hide the real cost.
- Heavy and out-of-gauge components;
- Cross-border customs on a weekly cadence;
- Dealer delivery windows with penalties.
Our Approach
One loop, one carrier, one control tower. Flatbeds and vans rotate through the same schedule, customs paperwork pre-files before the border, and dealer appointments book automatically from the plant's ship plan.
- Synchronized inbound/outbound trailer loops;
- Pre-filed border clearance with FAST lanes;
- Dealer appointment scheduling included.
